Yes of course....most all Romanians are well versed in MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and Skype. They use them for long distance calls, and computer to computer calls too. The internet cafes, which are everywhere, will have the microphones and earphones for them to chat, etc. So you if you have somebody specific to call thats the way. Also if you want to use a conventional phone, the NOBEL company offers quality and cheap calls for Romania to USA, and you can purchase online or in Romania and most all kiosks and other places that sell phone cards.

If you are just looking for someone random to chat to, download MIRC chat client at http://www.mirc.com/ this is commonly used for chatting in all the internet cafes in Romania for chats not with a person directly. Almost every city in Romania will have a chat room, and i am sure more than a few romances have been started on these, as well as friends made. I never really used it, but I am sure its not difficult to figure out.

Cheers

Hope that answered your question.

I am from Romania as well. I live in Bucharest. It's a great country, it's a shame that strangers think awful things about us like they think we are violent or things like this...
Of course you can talk with somebody from Romania, I talked to many people from the Globe, I even talked to a boy from Bosnia!

yes it is possible. you have to remember that there is an time difference. depending on where you are at in the U.S. it could be 6, 8, or 9 hour difference. They would be that many hours ahead of you. so it would either be very late for you, or very early. You would have to arrange a specific time to chat, otherwise you would more than likely never catch one another online at the same time.

If you know someone in Romania, then it's possible to call them. I called my dad when I was in Italy.

.

.. can you speak the language ? .. do you know a person there ? .. do you have a computer ? .. do *they* have a computer ?

.. if you answered 'no' to any of those .. you might have some trouble.

.. if you answered yes to all of them .. then have fun.
