this is a totally valid question.
it is in fact a sign of status in some, lets just say, sub-cultures to father as many children by as many different women as you can with no regard for the upbringing or responsibility of said children.

From the courtrooms that I've observed, the outstanding child support seems to be popular.
One loser showed up with his mother - the loser owned $76,000 in back child support to 2 children from 2 different women. The mother tried to intimidate one of the mothers in court by alleging drug abuse allegations. Made me want to rip someone's head off....
