Its my beloved 163,000 mile chevy caprice wagon that has served me well since i pulled it out of the junkyard at 120,000 miles....oh, and it overheats too, so I can only drive it very early or very late, when there is no traffic

When I first met my boyfriend he never mention he could not go in reverse, so our first date we went to baskin robbins and instead of parking right in front, he parks far away just to pull forward, I remember asking him why park so far and I can't remember what he said but he was embarrassed..We laugh about now in days.

No,, no,, most people have a reverse. Your overheating is probably a stuck thermostat or a gummed up radiator. repalce them both. about a $200 fix for parts at the most. throw a rebuilt trany into it at any discount trans shop, abotu 500 bucks installed, and the car will be fine. call around and look in the small local pappers for auto transmissions shop ads. get a friend to do the rad and thermostat. My 1995 Jeep Wrangler with 175,697 miles has reverse, but no radiator fluid in it. It just spewed out in a store parking lot this evening. What a wonderful night. Good luck with your car!
