Absolutely. A woman in my office came back from vacation with a gorgeous one. Black people can also get sunburns.

Yes they get tans... they have the same cells that cause you to get tan that any other race does.

I have a very good friend that goes to San Diego all the time just to lay on the beach and relax! He comes back "darker"...

Now of course, this is coming from a white girl, but I think I noticed my black man with more black in him when he came back from Cali! ;)

People with skin who are not albino will tan and burn because that's what skin does. Just because they are darker doesn't mean that they can tolerate over exposure to sun. So they will sunburn and get sun sickness in the same way others do, particularly if they are not constantly exposed to sun as people are in subtropical areas.

Yes they can, and they can burn as well! A girlfriend of mine went to an air show and was out in the hot sun all day and her face burned so bad. She has very sensitive skin, even though she is black.

I doubt it. They would never get tan. They would just end of looking like a piece of burnt toast. Black actually attracts the sun. That is why you will stay cooler if you wear white outside on a hot day, than if you wear dark colors.
No offense or anything. :)

Yes but the very dark skinned people would have uneven skin colors ranging from a mixture of dark brown and black or yellowish brown and black.

Yes they do and when they have their shirts off you can tell because its like a farmers tan on a white person. Mexicans are the same way.

Yes, and we can also get a sunburn. Many blacks try to stay out of the sun so their skin will lighten up-it will. This is a strange world.

Yes. Your skin becomes noticeably darker, even if you are pitch black. Like my skin is normally a golden brown color (not very light though) but it becomes a more chocolatey color. I love getting tans, I think they're beautiful.

And yeah, sunburns can make my skin red.

yes i'm sure they can, i mean skin is skin there is no difference but depending on how dark a person's skin already is you may not be able to tell as good as others, same as mexican people, they are dark skinned, and yet some lay in the sun to get darker.
