I had mi ipod mini for almost a year. I don't want to change the battery yet, and i went to the ipod help survice onloine but no luck! What is wrong with it is when i go to listen to a song and press play it just shuffles through the whole list until the list is over, then it will go back to the menu. also it seems to do it only when the battery is half-way full or low? And when it does do it has no sound. NO i haven't upgraded my soft waer, but i haven't downloaded any new song either. I was woundering if anyone has this problem or has an answer to it?

Try using Limewire and u get songs for free. Try getting an ipod nano those rock

nicely if i'm maximum appropriate some ipod mini had battery issues whilst they first being presented and from what your asserting it sounds like it want a clean battery so which you would be extra suited of to bypass purchase a clean ipod mini ....... whilst became the final time you whilst on itunes and as much as date the utility?? that would additionally be a difficulty? nicely i'm hoping Ive help some and have a stable day

Is it purchased music?
I had this happen for awhile on all purchased songs. I ended up having to "deauthorize" my computer to play against my account and then reauthorize it, then re-sync my iPod and that fixed it.
