Mars in Libra natives often reflect about things before they act. Decisiveness is not their strong point, but they do, eventually, get things done. Many people with this position procrastinate, generally because they feel the need to weigh all of the alternatives before taking action.

Life isn't always fair, but Mars in Libra will seldom accept this notion. These natives can easily get caught up in defending themselves and others. Although their overall goal is to live peacefully, they stir others up with their desire to balance everything. Still, they always play innocent when they are challenged, and can generally charm the birds out of the trees to win your favor. Passive-aggressiveness is practically the hallmark of this position. They don't want to look like they are ever being mean or unfair, but aggression has to go somewhere! Too often, this results in sneaky behavior and subterfuge. On the other hand, some Mars in Libra people turn the Mars energy into action, and they fight for Libran justice and fairness in the world.

On the up side, Mars in Libra people are adept at predicting when problems and discord will occur well in advance. They know how to compromise and are excellent at conflict management. (See also Mars in Libra Sexuality).

Some Famous people with Mars in Libra: Eminem, Sarah Ferguson (Fergie), Brendan Frasier, Whitney Houston, Nicole Kidman, Angela Lansbury (Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Mars in Libra), John Lennon (Sun and Mars in Libra), Heather Locklear, Prince William, Sinead O'Connor, Robert Plant, Alicia Silverstone (Sun and Mars in Libra)

When Venus or Mars is in Libra, extra care is taken to please the partner. These people can be provocative in a quiet way. Their need for balance and perfection in their relationships may manifest itself at all the wrong moments. In bed, these lovers want things to be balanced. They love working on getting things right, and are especially turned on by role-playing sex games. They have a strong need for change and growth in their sexual expression. They are givers in bed, but they fully expect you to give equally in return. Although they can be pushed around for a time, their lovers must be aware that the best way to keep Libra lovers happy is to keep everything fair. These lovers can be a little picky when it comes to mood and atmosphere while making love (Virgo is all too often assigned this trait, but our experience suggests that Libra is the pickiest of lovers). Make them happy, however, and you have a lover who is going to think about you and your needs. These lovers can charm the birds out of the trees when they want to.

I wouldn't say it is a very macho placement, but you shouldnt have any problems with the women (look at Prince William).

Mars is often interpreted as the kind of man a woman likes, but I haven't found that to be the case in the charts I've looked at. I've found that in women, Venus seems to be a more accurate description of what kind of man a woman is attracted to, and Mars seems to indicate how the woman acts when she's in love. This is certainly true for me: My Venus is in Capricorn and I've always been attracted to Capricorns, Virgos, and Scorpios, the business types. I actually married one, in fact. My Mars is in Pisces, and when I'm in love I become very creative and produce incredible drawings, paintings, and prose. I can't seem to produce these things at other times...I guess I just need a muse. Perhaps this is what's going on with you. *It's not rules, it's just synastry between two people is much more that cursory. You mention friendship, and that's not really ruled by Venus and Mars, that's more of a Mercury and Moon connection. And each person you're attracted to or who is attracted to you will be for slightly different reasons and there will be specific markers for each relationship. So this is why it's so hard to generalize, and why you are only getting "the best guess". Sorry..... **Oh, just thought of something else! Your venus may draw you to a person with that ascendant, too. And the Ascendant can apply considerable influence on a person's Sun and Mars when those two positions are muteable. So there's another factor to consider. **
