you sound like you're just dying to get attention because you have the personality of a wet dishrag.

Yes it will be painful. The first one I had, on my shoulder, I nearly passed out, but then I don't cope with pain very well. I told the guy that's it, I will never have another, he said 'you will be back', I said 'NEVER', a year later I had one done on the other shoulder. then one on my lower leg, that was the most painful, not so much flesh there and 2 small one's on my left breast, that hurt the least. All of mine are done where they are not seen unless I want them to be because there are still places you go, where they feel tattoo's are not acceptable on a female. I would never get one on my arm or anywhere where I can't cover it easily. N E way I won't get any more now, enough is enough.

I have one there and yes it will hurt. Tattoo pain levels vary depending on tattooist (depth) but mostly location. Wherever the skin is close to the bone (neck, lower back, etc) it hurts more. I have 9 on varying places. But if it's only as big a quarter then it shouldn't take too long. But be wary if it's too small and the artist isn't skilled it could be blurry.

They all hurt... and what may hurt me a little could hurt you a lot... because we all have varying pain tolerances. I have one on the side of my neck so I don't know too much about the back of the neck personally... my husband has 2 small ones there and he says it wasnt so bad... (and btw I hate hate hate shots... but I have 15 tattoos... totally different thing for me...lol)

I,m taking my Daughter (19) to the tattooist today (6th sept) at 3.00pm to get her first tattoo, same place same sort of size.
She is really worried about the pain as well.
Will edit this with the result when we return.
She said yes it hurt but its a pain you can deal with quite easy.

The last one I got was on the back of my neck. It was the least painful one. I barely felt it. The thing that sucked, watch your hair, a few of mine stuck to it. Tie it up good when you sleep.

Nah, it shouldn't hurt too bad. I have one high up on my neck, it felt like someone was rubbing a needle point over and over my skin. More annoying than painful :)

on your neck, yes, you may get a tingling sensation that you can stand at first then after a while it will become more intense and hurt. dont worry tho. if you feel its worth it then go for it, the pain will soon ease off afterwards anyway.
