Every pregnancy gets earlier because your muscles are not a strong as they used to be. It is not baby yet but it is pregnancy. Your uterus gets bigger quicker because it is already stretched out.

You shouldn't be bloated at 4 wks, that usually happens toward the end of the pregnancy. You are probably showing. I didn't show w/my 1st until 7 mo. But with my 2nd I was showing very early on.

Each pregnancy is different. Depending on how soon you got pregnant after the first, you will show earlier. I started "showing" at about 12 weeks with my 2nd but there were 4 years between pregnancies.

Alot of women show more early on in their 2 nd pregnancies. Its is because you have already had a child, and your body is easily accomodating for your pregnancy. Your uterus was slightly larger after carrying your first child, and your stomach muscles a little more relaxed ot accomodate for the impending pregnancy growth.
I think because you have already had a child too, its easier to notice the changes now also, where before, it was so new, the only time you really noticed is when suddenly, pants wouldnt zip or button anymore.
congratulations!

It's really common to show sooner with the second, especially if you're within two years of your first. The common theories hold that your stomach muscles have already been stretched and they "remember" that shape. There really isn't much you can, or should, do about it. But my doctor did approve light stomach excercises for the first one or two trimesters, depending on how I felt. Nothing to try to tone my tummy, but just things to keep my core strong. If you are worried about how your tummy will look afterwards, how early you show now won't really have anything to do with it... But I think it's been easier to carry this pregnancy in the third term since my core is stronger this time...
Anyhow, don't worry, just remember- it's such a short period of time. And totally worth it.

well if you are only 4 weeks preg then its very possible its bloating. or water retention. (your still at the point your body is uset to bloating for your period it will get over it) Your body is going to do lots of weird stuff this time that it didnt do last time. and you'll probly even notice stuff that did happen with your first you just didnt notice.
I'm preg with my 4th. and I am about 7 weeks along. At first i too thought for a minute hey am i showing already? and then about two weeks later. (after my body said ok we're pregnant lets get compertable for the next few months) it want away.
you probly will start to show earlier with your second than with your first but probly not till your about 3 months.
with my first i started showing about month 7! and i started showing about month 6 with my second. but with my third by the time I was 4 months preg every one said it looked like twins. lol. each time you have a baby your body gets more and more lax so things poke sooner. even if the babys not bigger causeing you to show faster your body is already conditioned to look preg and will go {oh i pregnant again time to get into preg mode.} and you belly will flop out there just because your body knows know that thats what happens when its pregnant.
(I hope this time for me its twins! Id hate to think that i felt this bad this time for just one, my symptoms are twice as bad as they were with all 3 of my other pregnacys put togetner) lol
good luck to you and i hope that all goes well!
dont forget to make a doctors apointment as soon as possible!

Nope. I don't mean to sound mean but either your fat or there might be something wrong. There is a condition where the fetus abnormally grows fast. It is called a molar pregnancy. Call your Doctor and tell them that you are already showing.
This is my second time around and I'm four months just starting to show.

With my first pregnancy, I didn't show until I was almost 5 months pregnant. With my second, I started showing at almost 3. Four weeks does seem early. Maybe you are just hyper-sensitive to that area now. Or maybe you are farther along than you think.

most 2nd and later pregnancies you seem to show sooner. Your body has already been thru it once and already knows what to do. I started showing sooner with 2nd. Everything seems to happen sooner with 2nd.

probley i think. However it's said 2ed babies show sooner. With my 2ed i did not. I'm now 23 weeks with my 3rd only showing when i lay down when i stand up i just look fatter. you do pop faster and your womb expandes easier because your mussles are already loose. I still don't feel big and pregnant even my mom ask where i was hiding her grand baby.
