The Pole Star is directly North at anytime during the year and anytime of day. The Earth's Axis goes through the star's location so it does not change.

Hi. Polaris is actually about a half degree from the point about which the sky seems to rotate. The Great Square changes where you see it based on location and time. It changes it's position about a degree per day if you look at the same time each night.

Polaris is ALWAYS north 24/7/365. It's height above the horizon is also constant (it's angle above the horizon is equal to your latitude)

The Pole star is ALWAYS direcly north, any period of the year. Earth's axis periodically moves away from the Pole star, but comes back pointing at it after about 40.000 years (this period is known as "Platonic year") and the Pole star itself changes its relative position with our Sun. Anyway, both movements are too slow compared to human life, therefore none of us will witness any significant change in the Pole star position during our life.
