I literally can't, and its not because I'm afraid it'll be in my stomach for 7 years. Only done it twice in my life, nearly choked, anyone else like me, or am I a freak?

Girl, it's all in your mind. Think about it like swallowing any other food. I was like that when I was a kid and I had to swallow pills with water. I kept thinking I'd choke but remember the size of your throat and the size of a wad of gum or pill....

Um...it's never a good idea to swallow gum. Like you said, it's easy to get choked on it.
But it doesn't stay in your stomach for 7 years. Gum passes through your digestive system normally...just like any other food.

That has happened to me before, for some reason it wiggles its way back up...now, trying to swallow it while drinking something- like you would take a pill- no problems swallowing it.... lol

well gum doesn't stay in your stomach for 7 years. your body can't leave it in there that long. yeah not that i am saying gum is good to swallow. but yeah.
