ok all,
I have this mate who I think (and another guy backs me up) is gay.
He claims that he thinks my GF is hot and she is but when i asked him "will you die a virgin?" he said probably.
he also received this email from some guy in grade 10 yesterday saying "hi Karl"....
so is Karl gay or just a strange straight guy???
ideas.

If that is all that you have to make your assumption, I feel you are truly misguided. In what all you have posted, there is no way to tell.
Its amazing how people will take and try to analyze other people. They will take the information they have and manipulate it to the answer they want.
Just because someone states they may die a virgin does not mean they are gay.
And in no way of receiving a message from a guy means that as well. Many many straight people have Friends of the same sex, so just because they get a message from them, does that make them gay? I THINK NOT!

Grade 10? He could be just slow to blossom. Maybe he'll be more into girls as he gets older. Or maybe he is gay. If he's your mate, treated as such, and be supportive of him wherever his head is , ok?
You only have so many friends in life, you can't afford to cast them by the side of the road just because they are different from you. Besides, what makes a good friend? Somebody who depends on you. So be supportive, and be a friend.

Mitch, nothing you wrote to us indicates that your friend is gay. He sounds like a straight guy who has an eye for the ladies but is a little inexperienced. He also sounds like a nice guy who has a lot of male friends who enjoy being friends with him. The guy is probably straight as an arrow.

There is nothing suspect about what you just said. I think that he's just another turd just like you. If he is gay, though, don't go all turd on him by busting his balls about it and acting like a jackass that we both know than you can and will be, and definitely are.

to define him as gay, he must like guys. if he doesn't like guys, then he's not gay. he's just probably effeminate. also if another guy sends you an email, does that make you gay? thought so!
