i thought they kinda sucked. dont you think they had the same people for each category? i think shakira should have one an award. there were so many new artists and new songs that should have been nominated. i think it could have been SOOO MUCH BETTER!

ya it could have been much better, as for me ya i think shakira should have atleast won one award come on 9 nomanies and no win?? i think this was the worst one so far.. no affence to rock music but i think this was mostly about rock bands and rockers and it su*ked. the moon man didnt "break" the flag in the hand just feel out as it wasnt built in.
BTW the only good parts where beyonce and shakira preformence.. lol shakira looked hot in that sari (indian women clothing) read my name.

I am an avid watcher of the VMA's, and I believe that having Jack Black host was mistake #1! The opening was hot, I LOVE Justin Timberlake and he and Timbaland were off the Hook! I Tivo'd it, so I could fast forward thru most of it, like Shakira and Beyonce. I love me some Kelly Clarkson, and if I remember correctly, if you end the show the year prior, which she did (and she rocked), that performer usually opens the show or presents a catagory she won, and she wasn't there. That disapointed me, and I don't think she had a tour date that night either. She was playing with Poison at a show a few days before the show.
I still love her and she is our one and only american idol, but, i was kinda mad about that.
Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, and alot of other great rock bands needed more love.
So in closing, I was disapointed, and I think that Ellen Degeneres(?) would be a great host, she loves music of all kinds, and can speak to all generations, regarless of color, and she was Dorie in Finding Nemo, and whats cooler than that!!!!!
I love music of all kinds and I can't wait till the producers realize that all audiences, the Korn Kids, the Poptarts, the Hip Hoppers and everyone else respects each others art, even if they don't care for it!!
Oh Yeah, the tribute to Hype was awesome, he deserves more recognition for the work he has done for music in general!!!!!!!

1. Panic! did well, VMA for video of the year.
2. Red Hot Chili Peppers-They should Have won for Best Group Video
3. Angels & Airwaves-Should have won for Best New Artist
4. Taking Back Sunday-Should have won for MTV 2 award.
I am Most disappointed in Angels And Airwaves.

I so agree with you but we all have Janet Jackson's boob to thank for that...I was really really surprised that shakira didn't win anything but i was glad that all American rejects fall out boy and panic at the disco won...maybe this year sucked so next year will be better

It was horrible. Why do people trust MTV for musical taste anymore? They hardly show any videos. Panic! at the Disco wins for best video of the year. I've had bowel movements more entertaining then that poser band.

Award shows in general have been disappointing lately I don't know I like Justin's performance. J-lo looked like an alien and that upset me!

It Suck, Suck as$ 2005 was better and Kanye could have done better they could have Nelly Furtado perform, Danity Kane, or Cassie

it was alright, but they could have had better people present, and a better and more sane host, and possibly shakira could have been better, no offense to all those shakira fans out there, hope i helped
