It is because of their atmosphere, temperature and gravity.
The temperature can range from - 207 F. degrees at the winter pole to 80 degrees F. on the day side during summer.
Its atmosphere consists of 95.3 percent carbon dioxide, 2.7 percent nitrogen, 1.6 percent argon with traces of oxygen and water.
Their surface pressure is 7 milibars, less than 1 percent of the Earths.
They also have storms that can engulf the entire planet.
Wouldn't that make you mean if you lived there?

If there are "people" on Mars who said they are mean? They could be a lot friendlier then some right here on yahoo according to some of the questions and answers I've read.

It has to do with the lack of oxygen and not having the blue sky, many scientist have shown the the people from mars mainly just suffer from depression

Who says they are mean. Either they have needs of our planet, or their culture is different from ours. However, there are no people on mars.
