Pluto has been known for never having an atmosphere. I heard that they took it out off the solar system as a planet and renamed a dworf planet.......It has no atmosphere? Why is it a planet? Because of its orbit?

Funny thing, but as of last month, Pluto is no longer considered a planet because of new requirements for size, and it's too small. I was very astonished by the newpaper article because a lot of teachers were saying how they now have to change their agendas for teaching the solar system this year.

so people will be less upset then if they just said that it wasnt anything. its a planet because it is a large body that orbits the sun, as far as i know, if i were u i'd look up the official IAU definition of a planet and dwarf planet and get ur answer from there

For the same reason dwarf humans are still considered human even though they don't have an atmosphere.
