In my opinion anyone who is responsible for releasing that video on the internet is selfish, cruel and insensitive to Steve's family left behind.
The only people that matter right now are his beloved son and wife and the rest of his family that don't need that thing being passed around to so many places that it accidentally shows up on their own computer some day.
Kids at his son's school don't need to see it so that they end up talking about it and or asking the kid about it.
It's just wrong. Leave it alone already!

It's not that I didn't mind his daughter in all of this, I was simply under the impression he only had a son.
Now who was it that was a little ranty?

Yes, the people asking when the footage will be made available sickens me.
Australians are still coming to terms with his loss and others can only think of the sensationalism.
This gives you an insight into the human psyche.
Steve left behind a wife Terri, daughter Bindii, 8 and son Bob, 3.
Their pain at this time is to be respected.
Thank you for your appropriate reaction at such a terrible time.

I agree, not only selfish, but insensitive. Television shows or reality shows like BumWars, Jack@ss, Bam, Fear Factor etcetera cause us to desensitize and believe us to be immortal.
I posed this same question an hour ago, and the insensitivity showed in one person. So, because of one ignorant person, I deleted the question.
How about the live beheading of that young American 2 years or so ago? Everyone flocked to the internet searching for a glimpse. Shame.
The poor Irwin family, let them mourn their loss.

You cannot stop human curiosity. If a person hears a car crash, their immediate and human reaction is to look and see. If an article is marked "un-safe" because it contains a graphic photo of someone's death, I guarantee it will get more clicks than an article on puppies born. Human nature demands the majority of us to look--again and again--no matter how you feel of the matter.
Also, why ignore the daughter? The son is only THREE, he'll hardly remember or understand what is going on, but the daughter is eight. At eight-years-old, you remember things like this, yet Little Ranty You seem too busy screaming about humans being human to really mind her.

I don't think that that makes a person "selfish" or anything. I would never want to see it and feel that only Terri and his closest friends should be allowed to see it. Of course, people grieve in different ways so it may just that these people want closure and feel close enough to him that they want to see him.

I just don't understand why someone would actually want to see someone die. It is not a Hollywood thriller, this is an actual person dieing. So is it selfish, no. It is just plain sick.

Call it morbid curiosity, but some people probably want to see it.
