shouldn't they approve of this move? Switch the name of the leader and the country, make it into an American name and Republicans would love it.

MEL T: it says "shouldn't they approve"... not "they do the same thing"...
and many professors are leading researchers in many fields in the world... but hey, it's just "education" right?

What would you liberal slackers do without the "college campus." That wonderful Liberal Utopia where you go to class to stare dreamily at the 50 year old professor who used to be a proud activist when he was your age. You get listen to him/her wax on about a by-gone era of social and political revolution! You know, peace, love, weed, and anti-Vietnam protests/love fests! When communist-socialism still seemed so attainable here in America!
Inspired, you have your own campus protest and sit ins: Anti-Bush, Anti-Republican, anti-gov't, anti common sense! Free Mumia! Leave Cuba alone! Meat-Free Campus Now! Illegal Immigrants have rights too! No drilling in ANWAR!! My gas costs too much, I can barely afford to fill the tank of my Volkswagen Jetta! We must learn to understand the poor misunderstood Islamo-Fascists! Bush is Hitler! We love Che!! No blood for OIL!!
Unfortunately, you are so eager to re-live the sixties and find your "purpose" in life, that you miss out on reality. You know that dark, dreary, no fun place most of us reside in. "It's no fun dude, pass the bong - **** Bush!"
Here in reality, you would realize how ridiculous your comparison of the U.S. and Iran is. Iran - you probably haven't found much time between the gay rights parades and anti-war rallys to actually learn about it. If you did you would realize that in iran, a forum like this would not be allowed. YOU would not be allowed. AT least not unless you converted to Islam. That means no weed, no beer, no drugs, no dance, no music. And no cute little protester chicks in hip hugger jeans and tank tops - who I hope is you liberals real reason for going to these rallys in the first place!. They don't like girls showing skin in Iran. The mullahs and ayatollahs definately don't approve.
You are American, you live in America. Count your blessings. Say thanks. Or you could always move to Canada.

What liberal professor has been forced into retirement for their beliefs? What students have been asked to "turn in" their professors? The majority of professors are liberal according to polls, but that's hardly a political threat in America. After all "those who can't do, teach".
