I thought it was a joke when I heard the news. I think we can relate to him more than a news reporter or celebrity because he was just a man. He was not doing what he did for the money. He genuinely cared for his cause. He was a great aussie guy. I cried a lot that night and still feel sad. He will be missed a lot!I guess we all just thought he was invincible. I miss him heaps and we just need to stay positive that his death was not in vain. It's thrown the spotlight on a really great cause and his family is his legacy. I hope your kids are ok. God bless him. It must have just been his time to go.

I can understand why your kids, and maybe even you, would miss him. I did enjoy his shows from time to time, until his wife came on, but even then he was just too much antics for me. That's not to say that I wanted him to die or any stupid thing like that. It's just to say that Mr. Irwin had a career with some liabilities involved, and he knew it, and took the chances anyway, one too many chances, and now he's dead. That's life. Like the time I was working on the railroad and my engineer mistakenly took orders from the tower to come on down to where I was working, which is against the law, and he ran over me, and drug me down the track 200 feet and tore my leg off above the knee and tore up my back and broke a rib and remaining ankle of mine. It's a risk I was willing to take, never thinking that something stupid like that would happen to me, but it did. That's life. Now, I'm not as cute as Mr. Irwin, or as funny, or as rich, so people don't know me and don't care, but the issue's still the same. I had a job with some risks, and I took them, as necessary, being as responsible as I could be, only to be run over by a locomotive by my own engineer, and drug down the track by my leg, the one I once had. But, he didn't mean to do it, and he's a great guy and I like to think of us as friends. But, that's life. I might miss Mr. Irwin from time to time, but you'll not find me among the freaks mimicking the Elvis Presley wannabees or the Princess what's-her-name who died years ago. Mr. Irwin is a man, or was, and now he's dead. God Bless him. And God Bless you.

He was a great environmental role model and I think we should all asipre to be like him... umm its sad that he was killed but he died doing something he loved so thats the most important thing.

But I dont think its something to cry over unless you know someone personally... celebrities are celebrities...

At least he died doing what he loves best...and not some damn accident or health issue.

I wonder if the family will make the tape available? Especially since he has many "bloopers" he's had shown.
