As a heterosexual, black male, I have never given that a thought. I am glad for my measure of understanding and willingness to be open and free from prejudice on the gay issue. In all truthfullness, I don't really understand the pure gay mind. I understand the bisexual much better.

I am not trying to offend anyone or straddle the fence. I am just being real. I do not understand why people get into a gay lifestyle and think that it is the end all. There are no more guarantees with the gay life as there are with just straight living. I see extra pressures with gayness. I truly believe the human mind will allow a multitude of behaviors that can be judged right or wrong or indifferent.

I do believe that some gays wish that they had not opened that pandora's box of sexual adventure. Curiosity is still snearing the human spirit. I, however, am not anyone's accuser. I am simply trying to understand.

Its still a really hard life to be gay. So yes if people actually think about it I do think that they would be glad they are not gay. Thankfully I believe the world is getting a bit more tolerant each and every day.

Im happy to be gay hun i dont flaunt it in the face of others and i generally find i dont get any bad reactions to be gay times have changed now and being gay is much the same to being straight now we have pretty much the same if not all the same rights as straight people.

Your question is like asking a Black person if they would be happier White hun.

being gay does add a lot of social pressure and at times especially when getting abuse I do wish I was straight. People dont understand that being gay is not a choice. Do people who think this really believe we would choose to be treated as outcasts and scum in our own society? To be verbally and physically abused on the street when all your doing is walking to the shop? To have stones thrown at your home and you car? I dont think so. On the other hand it makes me think how sad and pathetic these people are and makes me a stronger person. Then I think of my lovely girlfriend and my family and think that taking all the crap is worth it. F.uck em, f.uck em all!

I'm glad I'm not gay, because I've met the love of my life, and she is female.

Apart from that, I would almost like to be gay, just because I could handle people on a personal level on their intolerance. I wouldn't just be some straight guy on the sidelines trying to point out the biggotry of other people.

Straight, and supporting,

Trevor

Nah, "social pressure" doesn't mean society is right. Fifty years ago "social pressure" would have some people burning crosses on the lawn of an interracial couple.

I'm glad to have the nerve to stand up to bigotry regardless of the guise it wears.

I used to wish I was straight when struggling to come to terms with my sexuality, but now I just get on with my life, be happy, have more money than my straight friends (ha, kids! so expensive) and love my partner as much as anyone could love anyone. And the style....there would be no straight fashion if it wasn't for us gay boys doing it 6 months before everyone else!

I'm straight and I certainly wouldn't say that I'm glad that I'm not gay. That has a really derogatory connotation. I'm comfortable with who I am and I just happen to be straight. If I were gay instead I'd be cool with that too. I don't have any particularly strong emotions about my sexual orientation - it just is.

Being human may not be all that great, but being a good guy or a smart and wise woman is a definitely step up from being a turd or a ho. Think about it, turdman. Of course, heterosexuals are glad that they aren't gay. There's much more of them. They make up 99.9% of the world population. They're stupid happy, especially the married ones.

I am proud, but sometimes I feel sorry for gays because they don't have $hit, but if they keep copying off the stuff the Civil Rights people they will be able to say, we fought for what was right for us. Man I got an imagination too, never mind.
