If you are using Firefox click Tools then Options then Privacy button up top and then hit the Saved Forms tab. Uncheck the check box to avoid this problem in future, to clear whats already there hit the Clear Saved form Data now button.
In the scenario you have described you may just want to hit Clear Private Data from the tools menu to get rid of most of the evidence.

If you are using another browser like Internet Explorer:
Go to Tools then Internet Options then go to the Content tab click the Auto Complete button then select Clear Forms.
Also again you may want to clear cookies, cache and histiry here as well.

You could try turning Autocomplete off in Internet Options, and clicking the Clear Forms/Clear Passwords buttons.
