AIDS is acquired immune defficiency syndrome (your body can no longer fight off infection). It can be transmitted through unprotected sex or through blood transfusion. It can be passed on from an infected mother to her unborn child and is usually fatal. It can sometimes be controlled with a "cocktail" of antiviral medications that must be taken and are very expensive. AIDS can have other side effects such as Carposy Sarcoma (a type of cancer)

I'd rather have cancer again than to get AIDS.

its acquired immunodefiency syndrome-- it slowly makes ur body weak by kiling the nervous system- its caused by HIV virus and soon the body will be so weak that it wiil die from the common cold.

it is sexually transmitted-- u get the AIDS when uhave sex with her.
and thru blood.
u might have AIDS too snce she is ur girlfriend if u guiys have been sexually active u should get checked.

She can have sex, but you must take extra precautions to protect yourself from getting it. My mom married a man that has HIV and she gets tested every 6 months for the virus.
