I got some New Balance shoes off ebay and have some concerns about someone else's fungus and smell and that kind of thing. Can I Febreze the inside or do they make something to do this job? I presume the shoes are not washing machinable.

By yourself some Lysol spray and spray in the shoes. At least this would save you from fungus.or athelitic foot disease...Good Luck!!!

Febreze only covers scents - not kill germs. Try a solution of water and bleach and simply wipe out the shoes several times, allowing them to dry between wipes.

The easy way to kill anything in a shoe is to freeze it.

Place the shoes in a zip lock bag, and place in the freezer over night.

Highly recommended for those that can't afford sprays and the like and it works.

As for smells, dust in baking soda, let it stand in the shoe for a day, then bang the shoes together to get it out. Takes out the smell no problem.

You can put sneakers into the washing machine and then put them outside to dry.

Or you can pour a bottle of alcohol into them and then put them outside to dry. (pour out the alcohol before drying)

Or you could buy a anti-fungal spray and spray them inside really good.
