I doubt it because in general the government and people are too afraid of change and people are too sheepish to actually look up if the other person has any basis for what they say or not, so they just believe the government. The reason alone that it was made illegal is reason to legalize it, at least until they come up with a reason for it to be illegal. I'm not going to say why it was made illegal because I want people to look that up for themselves. If they agree with me, great, if they don't, that's fine too. I don't smoke anything, but I think that marijuana should be legalized, not just decriminalized.

The government is actually making a profit while keeping pot illegal. In fact, the DEA impounds many of its vehicles and boating equipment from drug dealers and uses them to catch more drug dealers. It's all money. And ignorance. I can drink all the scotch I want and beat up my wife but getting stoned and watching reruns of The Flinstones is bad for society. What a crock.

I have been waiting since 1971 and I still see no improvement. The war on drugs is a bigger failure then Iraq and a lot more money has been poured into it for no good reason.

Probably not... it's just to easy for the left and the right to moralize on the issue. Plus too many people are ignorant of the facts about why it was made illegal in the first place.

Better for the government to legalize every drug for a month and provide users with all they can carry.
At the end of the month the garbage trucks can make the rounds, end of problem.

Quite possibly in twenty or more years. Any time sooner, however, appears highly improbable.
