My girlfriend is 4 weeks pregnant, she went to the docs yesterday 05/06/06 cos of stomach cramps, he sent her to the hospital and they said she had a urinary infection. This evening a neighbour apparently winded her by accident!!!(yeah right! Can't tell how I am feeling now) and her cramps have got worse and she has had a white fluid discharge. IS she having a miscarriage or what? She wont let me take her to the hospital she wants to try and sleep. PLease is there anyone ther who can answer this question sensibly and honestly. No time for jokes here.

Try to relax. I'm sure if your girlfriend even suspected she might be having a miscarriage she would be at the hospital straight away. She must be confident that everything is ok, and you should be too. Let her sleep, she needs her rest.

Babies are usually quite safe, they are well protected in the womb. with luck she is ok a urinary infection is very painful. Tell her to stay in bed and rest.

I dont believe you have to worry, but if you are that worried call the hospital and talk with a nurse. They should be able to help you and they will tell you if she needs to be seen.

If she's not bleeding, she's not having a miscarriage. Try to get her to relax and to get lots of bedrest. No lifting and no stress!
