Right now an average 8 million people watch an episode of the simpsons. Before it was higher. I even heard that it had reached 45 million during Who shot Mr. Burns episode.

I have watched The Simpson's ever since it came out and ever since it hit syndication I watch it 2 times a day..once at 5pm then again at 6:30pm..
