He was very entertaining, with lots of enthusiam and a great passion for what he did. He loved animals of all kinds. He also cared a great deal about educating the world not only about the different animals but also the dangers each animal species faced in the wild. He wanted to help preserve endangered species.
By the way, I heard that someone (I don't remember who) will be on Larry King tonight talking about it.
Mini biography
Steve Irwin was born in 1962 to parents Lyn and Bob Irwin, who were animal naturalists. He has shared the love for animals all his life, stemming from being raised at the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park. There, he partook in daily duties of animal feeding and care. He quickly established himself with the Queenland's government on the process of the country's Crocodile Relocation Program, in which the reptiles could be transferred and relocated to proper localties in the most absolute humane, non-tranquilizing manner. He frequently implements the non-tranquilizing factor in his televison show "Croc Files" (1999). To date, Steve can claim that he has never been bitten by a venomous snake, despite his bare-hand handling of some of the most deadliest snakes in the world. Steve has been married to fellow naturalist, Terri Irwin (Baines) since 1992. She joins him in his adventures and efforts in almost every episode of his show. They have one daughter Bindi Sue Irwin who was born July 24, 1998.

What happened to Steve Irwin was a freak accident that happened to someone who was very astute and aware of the dangers he faced.
Perhaps we all can learn from the death of Mr. Irwin. Accidents happen to people every day when they think they know what they are doing, and that includes being behind the wheel of any vehicle.
Steve Irwin is and will always be missed. I would like to see Australia honor Steve Irwin as a true conservationist with a stamp duly authorized by the Australian Postal System.

i'm guessing that Yahoo Nickname does not study or hear to the information through fact it has got here out that he pull the stingray barb out in the previous he died. His digital camera guy/stable chum is asserting that and it fairly is on the tape it is now with the police. in keeping with risk you may desire to study the information and stuff in the previous you start up attacking somebody for in simple terms asking a query. I did hear that the tape would be released if the relatives needs it to be. yet you realize human beings at present....i'm particular somebody will arise with it and out it some the place on the internet like YouTube.

He was a great entertainer. He did what he did to entertain himself and we benefitted from it. The news said they have a tape of him pulling the stinger out. In first-aid, if someone is stabed, the rule is not to pull the object out. I believe he may have lived a little longer or still today if he did not pull it out. Maybe not, but the chance of survival was there.

Caveman girl, steve irwin was not being stupid! sting rays do not attack unless they feel stresses or they are being attacked. The sting ray attacked because of all of the people. And it hit him right in the heart that is not that big of a chance, usaully they hit in arms/legs.

It shocked me that he died but it didn't really shock me concerning how he died. I figured he would've died on the job. Hopefully out of respect they will never air or leak the video that shows his death.
