TOKYO - Japan's Princess Kiko gave birth to a boy early Wednesday, the royal family's first male heir to the throne in more than 40 years, the palace announced.

The birth came about an hour after Kiko, 39, was reported to have undergone a Caesarean section. The boy is the third in line to the throne, after Crown Prince Naruhito and Kiko's husband, Prince Akishino.

The boy, the first male heir born in Japan since Akishino in 1965, was born at 8:27 a.m. and weighed about 7 1/2 pounds, the palace said.

does this seem like a conspiracy............they needed a boy and all of a sudden they give birth to a boy before the scheduled time to go to the hospital.........is it someone elses baby?...is the palace lying......you know how they are if they want something they get it...they probably gave away the real baby....if you are going to get a Caesarean there is a reason and to give birth before medically it doesnt happen often

I doubt it. The parliament was already considering legislation to allow females to inherent the throne. This legislation will likely pass even though there is now a potential male heir. Therefore there would be no motive for perpetrating a fraud.

As far as why she had a caesarean, i think her age might have been an important factor. also i think you misread the article. it says "birth to a boy early Wednesday" i do not think that this means it was earlier than expected, but simply that it happened early in the day. It has been all over the news in Japan the past week or so, so I do not think that the birth was unexpectedly early.

but the most compelling argument against it (other than the obvious moral and legal implications) is that they would gain nothing by it.

If you don't believe that the baby belongs to Princess Kiko & Prince Akishino, then ask them to do a DNA test on the baby boy for proof... ;-)
