At this place queer observations are made and explained defying the usual principles of gravity and experience. How is it understood or is it only a Hoax ..an eyewash?

Its a hoax, This is a common hoax. Usually they build a building with floors which are not level and Walls which are not quite parallel. It brings in the tourists. Its amazing how gullible people are. I saw one of these when I was a child, and thought it was silly even then.

Being near San Francisco, the answers in order of probability:
A) too much Mary Jane or LSD
B) hoax using optical illusions
C) high concentration of extra-heavy ore in a nearby hill or mountain

There is a place in the Black Hills which makes a similar claim. They have built a shanty there which is kinda fun to make your way through because of the optical illusions built in.Upon leaving, you are no more sure there is a gravitic anomaly there than you were on arriving, but your pockets are lighter!

I have never been but have you ever noticed how many people have the Mystery Spot bumper stickers? People who have been tell me when they go to the restroom, their head hits the stall door.
