Just goes to show that they (the Iranians) have more in common with US conservatives than people want to admit.

It is ironic, just how much the arch-conservatives in both countries agree.
Both want a government based on the laws of one religion. Both think intellectuals who disagree with them should be purged from teaching. Both deny basic facts (the holocaust for Iran, Evolution for the U.S.). And both rely on the threat of an enemy for the support of the population.
Interesting.

hahaha... I just asked a question earlier saying that Iran's president sounded like a typical conservative bashing liberals and that they seem to have a lot in common...
yeah... liberals are the classic historical scapegoat... if things are going bad, blame it on the liberals... it still happens here in the U.S... and in Iran... and in many places...
Iran and conservatives seem to have the same scare tactics... liberals and foreign invaders of a different religion
in this particular instance, it's much the same as what republicans have tried to do with universities... call them liberal so anyone criticizing you out of the universities can be immediatly discouted... bash those with the most knowledge (universities) so that people will look to you for answers and truth...

That's certainly what "Liberal" means, in this country!!! ~ Rush "Limpbrain's" conservatism and that of the Iranian President, seem to be, merely opposite sides, of the same Right Wing coin!!! (And, it IS all about the coins involved!!!)

Dumbass. A liberal is someone who wants to change from the way things have been going, so a liberal in Iran would be the equivalent of a Conservative in this country: Women's rights, freedom, democracy. There, now, don't you look stupid?

No, Rush would be a liberal, but in general a liberal is anyone who does not agree and support him.

Pretty similar. If anything, Iran's definition is more inclusive.

Rush Limbaugh is a big fat drug addict with E. D. I wonder why anybody would listen to his lies against humanity.
