I am..I'm afriad of the wrinkles, shrinking when i'm already short. I'm afraid of my husband going before me or me going before him. I'm afraid of losing my memory of things, and not remembering my family or even my husband,
But i know that with age you get old. your body gets old and you can't do anything about it. All i know is when i do get old like in the 90's i want to beable to say i had a good fullfilled life and i did everything that i wanted to do. that i was loved and loved. I want to be respected as an old person and cared for if i need it. So being afraid of getting old is ok. I know thats what happens. I'm not going to spend my young days worrying about what might happen when i'm "old" i will worry about it when i get there. So if you are afraid its ok.....

Not really. I am 48 years old right now and I guess my biggest concern for the future would be if I can continue to live at home and not end up in a nursing home. I decided to do my best to keep my health in check and leave the rest in God's hands!

i used to be terrified of growing old. but if you live your life the way you want to, which i hope is enjoying yourself, there is nothing to really be afraid of. sure i don't want to come down with some kind of cancer where all i have to live with is pain. but i do take good care of myself and i figure if i come down with something, well their must be a reason for it being there, because I am doing everything possible to keep a healthy body. enjoy what you do, age is something we can never get away from.

kinda because I have 15 tattoos and I am a woman. I scared of what i will look like and I don't want to lose all my teeth. Just getting old scares me period. We take all our life to learn all kind of stuff and then when we get old u forget everything and go back to be almost like a baby. Have to wear diapers again and have people change your diapers and feed you etc. So yes I am scared of getting old and being alone.

i'm not afraid of growing old. i just don't like the idea of a painful death. i'd rather be old, happy and die in my sleep knowing my family will be ok

I guess when you put it like that, growing old is a scary thing considering all the health complications, living arrangements and of course death. It is kinda scary.
