I just sent a considerable amount of money to a charity that supports the orphans in Lebanon and Palestine after Israel's attacks. Will I be placed on some kind of watch list for supporting kids that could grow up to be, dare I say it...TERRORISTS!?!?!?

To American Pride... I do contribute generously to American children in need also. Just added Lebanon recently, but have been sending charity to Palestine for years. Why? I have been there and if anyone needs our support, it is that small country. Brought me to tears.

Irrespective of whether these organizations have any link to terrorists or not, you are probably on a list for having helped children in places that our country is presently hostile towards. It's hard to believe this is a just nation when we live under a government that places corporate interests over the survival of children. Isn't it?

The destiny of the oppressed is to be a freedom fighter and the role of the oppressor is that of a Terrorists. Much like the oppressed American freedom fighters against the British crown. So its just a matter of who you have compassion for: the oppressed or the oppressor.
Ex. Would be the Israelis who keep the Palestinians in a perpetual state of subjugation and expect that by some divine miracle the Palestinians will behave and love them. All this after stealing their land adding insult to injury..
Ex. The Israelis in an attack of acute paranoia executing a venue of state terrorism against a nation who had not declared war against them. Then after its destruction and murder of innocent people asked to make peace with Lebanese government. Why arent we horrified at any nation who exudes kneejerk behavior while possessing nuclear weapons?

Not necessarily, but it is a possibility. At the very least, you should know that you are doing the work of Hezbollah, who is the controlling power in the region.

You have to be very careful of the organizations you support in that area. Many have mandates from heaven to destroy Israel, which means that lying to the public to gather funds is no big deal as long as they get to kill some Jews.

As a test, ask them for a policy statement on Israel. If they have respect for Israel as a nation, they are a better bet.

What? Who cares? You were supporting BABIES, children of a torn country. If you were just being kindhearted, then it doesn't matter whether they do or not. If you weren't doing anything wrong then let them put you on all the lists they want. If you are purposely supporting terrorists then you should reconsider. Why don't you start supporting starving children in Africa, or the orphans from the country you live in? Especially if your that worried about being considered a terrorist supporter. There are plenty of good causes and children that need help.

I also support charities that assist children in foreign countries.

Obviously supporting charities for children does not make anyone a supporter of terrorism.

We have, however, learned that many so called charities have been fronts for terrorist organizations and the money redirected to arms and training. With your intent to help children you would not want to see your money going instead to create bombs for suicide bombers to blow up children and others.

In today's Canadian press there is a story of a young woman, in discussions with police authorities, who was drawn into a charity and eventually found herself aiding in the sending of money to terrorists.

Be careful to check out the charity with govt. sources. Good luck and keep helping the global children in need, in Africa etc.

Not if the organization is NOT on the State Department's list of organizations that support terrorism.

In the future, give your charitible contributions to the Corous. The Corous will make sure they are put to good use. Also, if you look like a model, you should hand-deliver your charitible contributions to the House of the Corous, however, if you look like a rhino, sending your charitible contributions to the Corous by mail or paypal is a better way.

Hope that helps :D

Yes, you could be without even knowing it, as a matter of
fact, why don't you send money to a charity that supports
orphans in Israel because it was HAMAS and HEBOLLAH Terrorist Organizations that started the whole conflict in the first place.

You are very nice to contribute some money for the children of Lebanon. You will never know, what that money was used for.For the purpose it was collected for,to buy guns,to raise terrorists,or to have a nice vacation somewhere.Just do not think about it.

Let your conscience be your guide. You sound like a good person who is trying to help orphans who can certainly use the help.

My greatest concern would not be what these unfortunate kids might grow up to be - but rather where the money I donate is going.

Hope not, but why not contribute to a charity that might help our own children in need. Many children in our own country need help too but few people are willing to help them. I am just curious why? You don't have to answer and know that I am not criticizing you as it is a very good thing you are doing.

Thank you for answering me.
