The "introduction" is the portion of the book that describes what the book will be about or introduces the plot, major characters, and setting of the book. It usually also works to capture the attention of (or hook) the reader in some way. In non-fiction books, the introduction often introduces key ideas and terms that will be used in the book or provides an overview of coming chapters.

Introduction gives you a glimpse of what the story is about. Main characters may be introduced. You will get an idea about the storyline. if its well written, you will want to read the whole thing.

Have fun.
