any tips or suggestions about the whole experience?

Yes - all over the remoter parts of the UK such as North Wales, the Lake District, Peak District, Yorkshire Dales and quite extensively in Scotland. Been doing it for many years now.

Feel free to e-mail me and I can get back to you with some more info. Would help to know which parts you're planning to go to, when, how long for, if you're wanting to take to the mountains or stick to the towns and cities etc etc.

hi! u fortunate human beings,delight in ur holiday.my considerable different and that i did germany,belgium,netherlands,england and the united states of a,and china in relating to a similar time.We joined yha for lodging as specific europe is rather exspensive,and located the accommo superb, staying in places like seventeenth century monasteries etc. i enjoyed seeing each and all the sacred stone web pages,stonhenge,men-an-tol,yet we had a automobile?!?! delight in!!

yes in nov 2003, went again in april 2006 and i'll be there again in nov 06.......stay in hostels, catch a rugby or football( soccer ) game- ride the tube....haggis has a great backpackers tour
