4' deep? OH no.... and, 5'wide? Sounds like a casket for a morbidly obese person.
You mean 4'long x 5' wide room? "Deep" sends shiver thru my spine. Reminds me of burying someone. I have this grotesque sense of humor - just ignore me.
Arrrrrrrright, 'nuff now...
4'x5' is small.
But if that's all the area where you are trying to build will hold, I guess that will have to be. A walk in closet must take 2' hangers, one row on either side. Plus there must be room for you to move around. Plus, you need 2" clearance so that the clothes do not scrape the walls. So if it is 4' long and 5' wide it will barely be enough to hang clothes.
Why? 2' + 2' plus 2" on either side - i.e, 4' 4" - you have only 8" clearance between the hanging clothes. (Are you slim? and beautiful too?)
About half a foot wider will do it. Will the area be able to accommodate that size, i.e., 4' x 5.5' ...? Do you have enough clearance?
Measure the hangers you intend to use - they are standard but just to be sure - and go from there.
You have to kind of cannabalize the 6'x4' ensuite and kinda steal half a foot from there. You probably have to stand up on the toilet seat to use because you will be squished.
See? being slim helps.

It's more of a step-in closet. I classify a walk-in closet as big enough to actually get dressed in if need be - chair, mirror, clothes racks on 3 sides.
Just my opinion.

i dont think a closet should be any feet DEEP. so i would say no. 6+ feet tall and 4+ feet wide would be ok
