The US produces most of its own natural gas. This supply largly comes from Texas Alaska and off shore drilling platforms. However Canada is the largest importer of natural gas to the US. But this is still not more than we produce ourselves.

The United States imports much of its natural gas from Canada by pipeline and is expected to increase tanker imports of the fuel soon from countries like Qatar, Egypt, Angola and Norway.
