with Hurricane Katrina and so many people in need materially now more than ever - it's nauseating that a vehicle such as MTV chooses to waste money on people wasting money by giving them an hour show for doing NOTHING.
How about finding those kids that are giving their time and resources to people that really need it and giving THEM a sweet 16? or better yet some of those people that lost EVERYTHING and give them a SWEET place to live!!!!!!!!!!!

I do. MTV blows! What happened to the days when it actually lived up to it's name, Music Television? I used to watch it all the time. They would play Hole, Porno for Pyros, Janes Addiction, Beck, Ween, Nirvana, Metallica, the Breeders just to name a very very few and that was in the early 90's. I know music has changed a little since then but the only good thing they have showed on it in a long time is Jackass. Now, it's all this teeny bopper rap crap 16 year old brat parties. What 16 year old needs to have their birthday on tv?

Now I have to wait until 3am to watch them
The news was on and i was actually interested
Now I have to hear every 17 seconds about how many BILLIONS of dollars beyonce and 50 cent are making just s-h-i-t-t-i-n-g in a toilet.

I despise that show! I hate watching some spoiled rich kid whine that if she doesn't get a Ferrari for her birthday then her whole life would be ruined! The only thing that come from it is that average "Jill" teenager will think that she deserves that kind of treatment too.

People need to learn at a young age what hard work means and the value of a dollar. Those girls are so spoiled that it's ridiculous (not to mention the lack of manners exhibited by them).

I do. It's because the kids or teens as they would like to be called are brats. They take it to far. They want their way and cry and whine when they don't get it. Their not setting an examlpe for anyone. Just making it way worst, like begin stuck-up is cool and its really not.

I do, the lifestyle that they live is only a small percentage of people that live here in the states. Also most of them are ungratefull and would not last in the real world without mommy or daddy.

I hate it because those kids are so totally spoiled and think they deserve everything handed to them on a silver platter. And the parents are dumb enough to do it!
I hate that show, but I watch it anyway.

Well as much as I believe that no one should spend that much money and go all out just for one birthday, My Super Sweet 16 really interests me and intrigues me, just so I can see what crazy thing they will come up with next.

Everytime I see them throw some $200,000 party I think how that could have housed and fed so many people living in the less savory portions of town. BUT, that party was apparently more important...
