Just maybe north of you, it might get cold or maybe it never did freeze maybe another river that connects to the mississippi froze I think the ohio river connects to it sending down some ice chunks? check the december temps for north dakota you might find it gets cold up here in these parts-even the great lakes freeze around Michigan
