I'm not sad for HIM - he died EXACTLY the way he said he wanted to - filming amazing animals.
I do feel badly for his wife and VERY young children - they will struggle not having a father and you can only hope their lives have meaning and happiness because of the man they knew their father was.
Quite frankly - I couldn't stand his voice and wasn't a HUGE fan of his show - but I certainly never wished him harm!
Cheers!

i'm very unhappy..Steve became a great guy or woman even with the reality that he did some strange issues..He became an Aussie icon and could be sorely neglected..I met steve whilst i became 10 years previous and that i nonetheless have my image from as quickly as I have been given it in touch in him..i understand its probably strange yet i'm unhappy in the present day and in simple terms cant have faith that hes lifeless...Prayers bypass out to Terri and the infants... we are able to pass over you Steve RIP!

I am sorry for his family, but I can't help but think this guy was asking for trouble. He aggressively approached wild animals in THEIR native habitat. How would he like it if someone taunted him in his home at any given time AND without warning? It was just a matter of time before something tragic would happen to him. I admire his passion for his work, but what a line of work!!!! I just hope his children are a lot less zealous about this type of work.....

Well what I heard is that he was shooting a documentary of sting rays as a request from his daughter. He was swimming above the stingray and it unintentionally flicked its tail and stabbed him in the heart. R.I.P Steve Irwin you have taught me many things. = (
