My bf proposed after 6 months. I truly wanted to marry him. I said yes, but I was also scared, and wanted him to meet my family, and formally propose, not roll over in bed and show me a ring. He also mentioned we had to get married then or it would not work. I also thought to date another few months, and then get engaged for 1 year was not unreal, and it takes time to plan a wedding. We had time constraints bc I had to leave for a job 2000 miles away and he can't leave his job. Then he said we'ld get married years in the future bc that is what I wanted.

Now he seems mad at me, and has broken off the relationship with me.

I am rational, no? Or does this act totally destroy a man's pride and ego. I have assured him I want to marry him and love him and would do it tomorrow.

It seems common for people to postpone or ask for some more time, and if the couple is strong and they love each other they wait till the time is right for two people, no?

Why would you say that you would marry him tomorrow? Those are just words and you do not mean them. You hurt him because he wants you all or nothing... that is the way that he loves you. He should ask your parents first, but it seems that his world is all "you and him." What are you afraid of?

Abusive courting run in cycles. you need to get out even as you've the danger. The saddest ingredient is seeing a lady who gave a guy a 2d danger and it replaced into one too many. Anger administration is an rather good ingredient yet abusive human beings have a tendency to choose more effective than basically counciling. i does no longer stay in a courting the position abuse occured, ever, even as quickly as. era. do not positioned your self in threat. Be supportive of his efforts yet do not positioned your self in the line of hearth. good success!
