It would be hard to tell, depending on the quality of the people who would have 'bootlegged' it. First and most obvious sign would be if the disk has the title written in sharpee or marker. Second obvious would be if the disk is a versatile compatible disk in which one could buy in a store. If that is present, that the 'bootleggers' are very poor. For a little more money, there will be a proper picture on the disk, or an official looking glaze and title (all it takes is some to a lot of ink). The movie itself could possibly be in another language, or have a copyright line flash on the screen a few minutes into the picture, if that occurs, its 'bootlegged'. Some disks, made more cheaply, are only compatible in some media players, while another sign of 'bootlegging' is just the opposite and having an unlimited range of compatibility. If the disk can play in every region, then it is 'bootlegged'. Long and complicated, if you didn't make it, don't bother with trying to find out if someone else did.

Who cares! If you got the pleasure out of it, what difference does it make. J/K You probably wouldn't know until you receive it, and if you already have it, there isn't (personally to me) an easy way to tell a real disc from a fake, unless it is bluish-purple on the back. Or if the pic on the disc looks printed.
