I hope that Texas wins AGAIN. Don't get me wrong. I could care less about the longhorns. Who I'm a fan of doesn't really matter (Auburn), but down here in SEC country, Ohio State and the Big Ten, 12, 52, 96, whatever conference they are in, doesn't matter.
Not to take away from texas or osu. They didn't get to where they are by laying down, and doing things half-assed. They are great teams, with great players.

But I grew up believing in the home team. Still not sure why I'm not a georgia tech fan (grew up near atlanta), but I want the hometown team to win. I pulled for the Braves and the Flacons when you couldn't pay them to win a game. (Oh, yeah, they were getting paid and still couldn't win a game). But there are too many people that have no connection whatsoever to the teams they cheer for, but they just want to be on the winning side. So it irritates the crap out of me when the LOCAL!!!! news sports segment extolls the virtues of OSU, and actually gives them more time than they do the SEC teams, and the ACC.

And Ohio had a bye week.

Last yeaqr, during a ten minute segment, OSU was talked about for SEVEN minutes!! on the local news. Auburn got a mention, geogia got a highlight clip. No mention of any other teams, then a thirty second rundown of some other big games. Can't get any play in your own hometown, even when OSU didn't play that weekend.

No offense to any other fans. I'm sure your teams are good and have the cream of the crop. But I'm in SEC country. I'm in the South, where HIGHSCHOOL stadiums seat 30000, and school lets out early on friday away games so everyone can make it to the field on time. I know that you all feel the same way about your own teams, but we don't care about Ohio State down here.

War Eagle! Go Dawgs! Roll Tide!

I've gotta give the edge to the Buckeyes, even though the game is at Texas. The reason why is that in big games like this, quarterback play is so important. Troy Smith is the man for the Buckeyes, while the Longhorns are still trying to get Colt McCoy used to the system. Not only is Smith a great playmaker at QB, but he has all kinds of playmakers around him on offense. I say OSU wins, 24-17 in a close one :)

Ohio State's defense was not impressive at all against NIU. They gave up 285 yards to Wolfe alone. Wolfe is very good, but I would expect an OSU defense under Tressel to shut him down. Texas has a very good defense and a pretty good offense. I think it will be a high scoring game though. If it is high scoring, it would favor Ohio St., but if it is a low scoring game I would give it to Texas. Hopefully, Ohio St. can pull it out and return the favor to Texas.

i mean really. everyone is going crazy talking about this game and who's at qb and who got arrested and what not. but really, it won't even be as close as people think, mark my words. Ohio State will take this rematch, hands down.
