i myself like you was a fan, but unlike other people im not crying "if you play with fire your bound to get burned" and yes he knew his proffesion was dangerous, and besides like someone else here said, when a celeb. dies they do act like it is a life changing event. I said this in class cuz my proffesor (he is cool) was talking about this (today was like a free day) and i said *more like blurted/yelled* "so what, he is dead, no use crying over him, he knew he was going to get killed. and besideds he endagered his babys life and you don't fell sorry for the baby you idiots!" so then everyone is like "oohhh u r so mean!!! have some decency" you see people look at you differently if you speak the truth... the human race cannot accept someone who is different or has different idea... the so called "witches" in olden day times got hung or drowned because they wore all black, or because they lived out of town... see because they were different or thought or acted differently they got killed... now in our modern day society, you don't get killed you just get shunned from the crowed.... this happened today in my class, but i did change a few minds so don't cry he is dead your tears or sorrow won't bring him back, he lived a succesfull live, and had a nice family. you can't bring him back no matter what ok so stop your crying and move on with your life!!!!

He was one of the most famous people in Australia, and a big time television personality. Many people cry over celebrities they don't know personally (for example, Princess Di), because in some way they were "touched" emotionally by that celebrity. I really don't feel that connection with celebrities, but since our culture is so saturated with the whole idea, I can see why people would feel that connection.

An icon has passed away. Steve Irwin was one of those people who you think will never die, and his death reminds us all that no one is immune to the forces of nature. Life catches up with us all, and you can only look danger in the face so many times before it finally takes hold of you.

Because we love him !!! He showed much love, check out his shows, his amazing stories of love for all living creatures, his passionate commitment to all life on this planet...
I felt I knew him and shared his love because he was able to really DO something with his love to benefit those he loved...
He helped us be more loving; I personally worked at the Wildlife Rehab in Eugene, OR where Terri is from.

Because we've lost a man who represented having no fear and having unlimited adreneline. Not all of us have that, which is why we looked up to him. Plus he was funny, and he has a wife and two kids which we also feel simpathy for. You asked, I answered.

Because he was a very likable guy, and people hate to see people like that lose their lives. I didn't cry myself, but it's different when someone isn't a part of your family. It does bother me though, because of his wife and kids.
