I usually put on eyeshadow and a little lip gloss and all the girls at school are wearing like pounds of it just because they started middle school. One more thing to go with it, this one girl always wears body glitter on her eyes and underneath her eyes, not to sound mean but who thinks that that is completely tacky?

I went through that stage. When I was 12, my mom let me start wearing makeup to school. I got WAY carried away with the blush, though. I looked like a circus clown for much of 7th grade. When I begged my mother to let me wear makeup like the older girls, she decied to teach me a lesson by giving me the permission to wear makeup, but not teach me how to apply it. Basically, she let me have my way and let me make an idiot of myself like a big girl.
Anyway, what I'm saying is, someday, we'll all look at our photos and realize how silly we looked way back in the day. I'm 25 now, and I can afford to buy makeup from high-end brands. But the truth is, I hardly ever bother putting it on. Mostly, I put some lipstick on and head out the door in the morning.

I started experimenting with makeup around age 12, and I think it's fine to do. My mother took me out and I had a makeover and got some tips on how to apply makeup so that it's subtle and not overdone.
Also, for the girl who uses body glitter around her eyes, not only is it tasteless, but it's also dangerous. Body glitter was not made to be used around the eyes, and most of it carries a warning about this. If some of that glitter fell into her eyes, it could scratch her eyes or cause really painful irritation and even affect her vision.
But it sounds like you're on the right track! Keep it classy...

The more natural you look, the better. You can still wear makeup that have natural colors, like pinks, and stuff like that, but don't even put too much, it looks kind of dumb specially for a girl your age. But even if you are older, i think that the more natural you look, the better. Plus, You don't wanna look older with a bunch of makeup. About the glitter, yes, i do think it's tacky.

I know that middle school can get very cometetive especially with girls. But your young you dont need to be wearing alot of eyeliner or blush and other make-ups like that. just keep it simple with some lip gloss. But you dont want to look like a hideouse clown with too much make-up it looks ugly. Wait until your older to be usting all that make-up cause right now you really dont need it trust me. Just keep it simple.

i mean....they're 12, who needs that much makeup wen they're not even a teen? seriously, those ppl r so fake and stuff. for the glitter girl, its body glitter not face glitter plus, it school not a stage for her to perform. why do ppl even put on so much makeup, if ur reli confident and pretty only lip gloss will make u shine. just cuz its middle school does not mean its a fashion runway, its SCHOOL gosh....

12 year olds shouldn't wear make up. They are naturally pretty. You will ruin your natural colors. Just wear gloss and clean your eyebrows.

I feel what you are doing is fine.. Wearing to much is very tacky and make you look like a hooker..

When I was 12 all I wore was clear shiny lip gloss and eyeliner. lol. I am a pro with eyeliner
