Tell them that they should decide which side of the fence they are on. I Have friends who don't share the same beliefs as me, But they no where I stand and that I will not compromise my standards for anybody. They respect me for who I am because I have made it clear who I am. At the same time, I don't expect them to come to church with me. I respect them for who they are. They know that I don't always agree with their behavior and I know that they don't always agree with me. We don't try to change each other and it works.

It's a social chameleon thing...
In the church, there exists a moral code of perfection to live up to that (unfortunately) no one can... When you fall short, you're looked down upon by the others (who also fall short, incidentally) until as such time as you apologize and ask forgiveness. You may even need to make amends, depending upon the gravity of the offense. Then, one is usually welcomed back into the "good graces" of the group. However, though grace means "unmerited favor," it seems as though the church deals more in the "good effort = good reward" system... It's more or less the boy scout thing - a sort of badges for good works, demerits for bad-type of system...
The key thing Christians forget is that we are members of God's family... And that THAT fact is based upon belief - NOT performance...
The MOST uptight people on the planet are Christians... I should know: I'm one of them...!
Outside of the church, many feel as though they can relax without everybody CONSTANTLY judging them... But, such is not the case! Everyone is constantly judging everybody else and themselves... I think we ALL want to slap Eve and Adam (ladies first!) when we leave this age and go on to the next...
EVERYONE is trying so desperately to fit in!!!
If everyone would just relax and BE themselves, well... You might just as well wish for world peace...!
You ask "how do you act around someone..." and all I'm going to say is just relax, be yourself, and maybe - just maybe - things'll change... But, I doubt it... That's probably WHY Jesus is coming back... I don't know about the rest of you all, but I'm sooooo tired of life in this world... And I use the word "life" rather loosely... "Activity" would've probably been a better word...

Perhaps they are not yet comfortable in displaying their church side with their friends that are worldly. Perhaps how they now feel would be made fun of by the worldly friends. I suppose the best approach would be to ask the person. Maybe you could be helpful to them.

what it seems the person is doing is putting on there " church attitude" and there "friends attitude" and to me is like being a poser for not being themselves., But you should just be yourself that is the best thing.
