I have once in a life time idea for a movie that has topical interest and could settle big international differences once and for all; or start WWIII.

It can be embellished as fiction but is really fact.

I have some writing background but not in movie scripts. I don't want to do a book when a movie will do. I want good money for my idea, but it is so simple in your face, that it will be hard to keep the credit without honest help.

How can I market my idea? How and where do I start to get this idea on screen?

Take a screenwriting class and learn how to write screenplays. Once you get that down and write your script, register it with the writers guild that way your idea is protected. Then I would enter it in some screenwriting contests (check moviebytes.com). That way you get people to read it and if it wins, even better because then you have something to take to the table when showing it to producers. You could get an agent but if you dont get one that will fight for you then its not worth it especially since they get a percentage of what you make. Plus an agent wont even consider you if you dont have a body of work to show them. You could do it on your own if you have the drive. There are also sites that you can pay a fee and have a script doctor look at it and evaluate it for you and offer tips to improve it. If they like it they may even help you submit it. Good luck

Offer a professional a big stack of cash and they will write it with you/for you... they will have contacts to get the script looked at, and if it is any good... something may happen.

No one in Hollywood will buy "an idea" from an unknown. It doesn't happen.

If you want to make money... take a class and get writing. If you want it written by a pro, put the cash on the barrellhead.

Why would a pro that has made in roads offer their years of struggles and contacts to a stranger? Especially when it seems like you want someone else to write it, and you want all the money.

Good luck with oyur idea... I would LOVE to see "big international differences settled once and for all." That would be cool.

You will need to submit some material to an agent. You won't get anywhere without an agent.
