as far as toyota, i am not thrilled about it but that is because i love tradition and almost always at least initially resist change. but i am confident that i will give it a shot and see how it unwinds. i didn't want the chase either and have adjusted.it may make it more interesting, new $$$, teams that can compete with the big ones. i don't think i could deal with the car of tomorrow, tho' if they are gonna all be exactly alike, they already do that, its called iroc. if they try it and start causing people to turn away, as long as it doesn't attract more new fans than fans lost i think nascar in their "ultimate wisdom" would undo as much of the damage as possible. (i hope)

Inevitable it would happen. NASCAR is big business now. Toyota will be pumping millions of $$$ into it. Not happy about it, oh well. Mikey better get his sh*t together, they will get rid of him if all three cars run 35 to 43.
The car of tomorrow-every car will be identical. Only decals will identify the make. Just like now. Many of the older drivers say the younger drivers are reckless due to all the safety stuff built into the cars and tracks.
Heard a rumor that Honda is thinking about getting involved.

Toyota builds more cars south of the Mason-Dixon line that the Big 3 combined, so it's very appropriate. I do think PAPABILL has a point though that back when stock cars were stock it was more interesting in some ways. I'm sure NASCAR fans will get used to the COT; what else are they going to do, watch IRL?

Toyota is already in the truck series and they are doing really well. As for being a part of Nascar? Not a problem for me. Toyota builds in the US...that is enough for me.

Toyota knows where the money is. Race on Sunday, sell on Monday....
The "Car of Tomorrow" looks like the Soviet Union's Lada from the Cold War. As if NASCRAP didn't look ridiculous already....
If they wanted to slow the cars down for reasons of safety, there was an easier way to do it: V6 engines. Less horsepower, less speed. All the CoT will do is cause Collisions or Trainwrecks. There are better ways of increasing air resistance without reducing safety.
Remember CART racer Greg Moore who was killed in a crash in October 1999? That year, CART reduced the downforce on cars and every driver was worried that an accident like Moore's would happen. Including Moore.
"If you want to watch carnage, sure, it will be entertaining."
- Greg Moore, March 31 1999, talking about reduced downforce on high speed ovals
Moore died October 31, 1999, on a high speed oval, after Richie Hearn crossed his path, cutting off the air and reducing Moore's downforce. It caused him to lose control of the car and turn onto the infield where it flipped. Moore's head hit a concrete wall at over 100MPH.
"Car of Tomorrow"? More like "CARNAGE of Tomorrow".

If NASCAR would go back to the car of "yesterday" when the teams had to go to the factory to get the cars instead of a roll of sheet metal then you would have a better speedway car.In fact you would have a better car all around. Now the only thing factory is the hood, greenhouse and rear deck.Let's put "stock" back in stockcar.
As for Toyota, well bring it on!

It was going to happen someday... It'll be different that's for sure... Im anxious to see who else will jump on the Toyota team bandwagon though... I think it will be a good chance for guys like Brian Vickers to come out of the shadows of Jeff Gordon and other peers... It'll be interesing :)

I think its a great change. As for the COT? Ugly but a safer and hopefully better racing car for the non Chevy teams. For most of the year is been a Chevy only show.

I hate it.......Toyota=toilet.
The car of tomorrow looks ridiculous. The spoiler is hideous. Reminds me of some of those offensive tuner cars. I don't think it will be a good thing.
