You know the media is building up Notre Dame for a title run but they only play the pac 10 and big 10. Man, what is wrong with college football. When was the last time Miami, FSU, or any SEC school had a shot in the title game? Just play teams you know that you can beat and in the championship? What do you think?

First of all . . . let me say. . . I can't stand Notre Dame. . .they are over rated every year and it is rediculous that NBC carries all their games. . . . . this is a huge advantage over all other schools when it comes to recruiting! However. . . that being said. . . I am big enough to admit they play as difficult or a more difficult schedule than ANYONE in the nation. The SEC, ACC, and Big 12 have really bit the big one the last few years other than Texas. Florida, Miami, and Florida State are also vastly over rated every year. Look at Auburn last year in the SEC. . .. in their bowl game they had their butts handed to them by the Wisconsin Badgers!!! The SEC and ACC have many gifted skill players but if they played bruiser football every week like they do in the Big Ten they would be limping like a wounded animal by the end of the year! Virginia Tech in the ACC is usually good but chokes on the mighty sausage at the end ot the year! Notre Dame also has a long standing tradition of playing the likes of Michigan, Michigan State, USC, Purdue, Air Force and other schools on its schedule. In Summation. . . The SEC, BIG 12, and ACC are not all that when it comes to football. . . or lately even basketball. I watche FSU and Miami last night and sure they have quick athletic defenses but neither of those teams should even be in the top 25. Their offenses suck the sweat off from dead man's balls!

Notre Dame played Georgia Tech this weekend. That's an ACC school. ND has played FSU many times before - most recently in 2002 and 2003. ND played Tennessee last year and has many times in the past. ND played Nebraska and Texas A&M in 2000. ND also plays some Big East schools because it has a special contract with the conference - ND plays in the Big East in all other sports besides football. ND also plays the service academies - a long and proud tradition and usually the only time those schools get games televised nationwide. Yes ND plays a lot of Big Ten and Pac 10 but those are hardly conferences to sneeze at. And many ND fans are tired of Big 10 and would like to play more SEC and Big 12 teams.

ND does not schedule teams it knows it will beat easily. ND does not pad its schedule with MAC teams and Division I-AA teams. Last weekend, ND's opening game was against Georgia Tech, a team that's beat Auburn and Miami and has Calvin Johnson, a legitimate Heisman contender. Compare that to the cupcakes Michigan, Texas, Penn State, and others scheduled - Vanderbilt, North Texas, Akron. Come on!

At least Notre Dame, Tennesee, USC, and Cal had the balls to play real opponents last weekend.

Actually, they just finished a 2 game series with Tennessee last year. Notre Dame won by less than a touchdown two years ago and murdered them last year. The SEC has three National championships in the last 15 years, so I don't know where you've been. Alabama in 92, Florida in 96 and Tennessee in 98. Not to mention the 03 Auburn team that went 13-0 and got screwed. Also, the LSU 04 team that split with USC.

Think about this. The only reason that an SEC team is up for national champs more often.................

Is because another SEC team usually knocks them out of it. I mean, come on, Vanderbilt doesn't even have an athletics department anymore, and the creamed Tennessee AT HOME!

Would you really want to play into that kind of hellstorm??

and neither does Notre Dame

Notre Dame sucks. They just get all the attention because of their history and having a couple movies made about them.

They are scared.... LSU beat their tail in the Independance Bowl!
The SEC scares the crap out of all the conferences. Its like USC...they play a much lower level of talent and go undefeated because they know the media will nut all over them and stuff praises up their tail end till their eyes turn "newspaper brown"
