I am 17 weeks pregnant, and my sinuses are so congested that I am really miserable. My doctor says there isn't much I can do because I am pregnant. I have tried Afrin Nasal Spray, Tylenol Cold and Sinus, and Sudafed. The sudafed helps a little, but none them do very much for me. I was diagnosed with chronic sinunitis before I became pregnant, and being pregnant just magnifies the sinus issues. I have a mineral bath soak for cold and sinuses, but I am not sure if it is safe to use while pregnant. Do any of you pregnant ladies out there know?? I am desperate for relief. Thanks.

Have you tried Flonase? My OB perscribed it for me.

You could also try giving yourself a sinus rinse with salt water. http://www.sinusrinse.com This worked well for me. I've actually had sinus surgery.

I'm not sure if the bath is safe. It depends on what is in it. You can sit in the bathroom with the shower running as hot as possible and try breathing the steam.

GEt a bowl of warm salty water. Put it up to your nose and snort a bunch of it into your sinuses, you will cough a bit but the salt water will run out and take a load of the crap with it. This is safe for anyone and really works. I treated a terrrible sinus infection with this remedy when I was in Italy and couldn't get to a doctor.

talk to your doc again about the possibility of an infection in your sinuses you can take antibiotics to clear it up and ask about flonase, i'm not sure if flonase is safe but it's worth asking about. I had serious issues with sinunitis b4 and during my pregnancy after i had my baby i don't have half as many problems with my sinuses....having a baby does change everything! lol

I'm not pregnant, but I tried one of those things once. It smelled awful...like a dirty cat box. Use at your own risk! Yuck.
