Than why do Jewish people look different from others?!?! Is that because of their belief?!?! I'm a Russian/Jewish person. I'm not a Jew. That is, I don't practice Judism NOT JEW-ISH. No, I'm not trying to knock Judism down. I'm just making a comment. There's such a thing as Jewish nationality, but I do agree that a lot of people who are Jews aren't necesserily Jewish. Anyone can be a Jew. All you have to do is practice Judaism.

Because if you were born into a Jewish family, or claim that you are "Jewish" then it is automatically assumed that you are.

But what does being a "Jew" mean to you? Do you mean it as a derogatory term?

I think of Jewish people as God's J-E-W-E-L-S.

Because you identify yourself as being jewish, as in the jewish faith.

Unless you are saying you are Jew like, as in Jew-ish.

Jokes aside, most Jewish people in the world are not actually of semetic blood. With that in mind, there really isn't a jewish race. Or at the least, most Jewish people aren't of that blood.

Instead they are russians that are jewish, or americans that are jewish, or britains that are jewish, etc. This isn't a sleight. Just a description of the facts of the situation.

So if you aren't following or believing in the Jewish religion's tenants, you shouldn't refer to yourself as Jewish.

Aren't they the same thing? Isn't 'jew' just short for Jewish? I thought it was! P.S. This IS a serious answer!

I consider this a serious answer. I thought being Jewish meant that you are a Jew. What's the difference? Please tell me, I have a huge history religion assignment.
