I chewed out a woman today who likes to try to steal other women's men and wont let up. I had a few choice words with her and now I feel like a goon for it. Should I have just washed my hands of the whole scene? Lets just say she really had it comin.

Well, You seem like a nice person and wanted to bring a stop to this, as it seems that this was and still is an ongoing thing.
If you are willing to accept my advice. Next time, if you want to make a point, don't "chew out" the person in question.
Give advice in such a way, that you don't make enemies along the way. Otherwise, What is the point? Give it in a calm, professional way.
Don't become emocially involved when dealing with problems and keep in mind : You cannot save everbody!
Sometimes passing judgement isn't the right thing to do.
Most of the time, the community itself will take care of the problem. If not, she needs to remember: what comes around, goes around!
You may thank me by choosing me as " best answer"..

You say she was trying to steal YOUR man??
Well, you could look at it two ways. Yes you were right in the sense it probably made you feel better at the moment..but now you are feeling a little guilty.
On the other hand..it kind of showed her how insecure you might be. No one can "steal" anyone unless they want to be taken.
What's done is done..don't beat yourself up about it.

You can't steal a man worth having.
You feel that you lost dignity, and possibly you did, but you can't change the past, so let it go.
Just try to remember next time, that it's better to be a bit cool about these things.

If you felt good about it at the time then don't regret it. I wouldn't feel bad obviously you did it for a reason, never have any regrets. We all do things at the time because it feels right and some things maybe we don't think about it as much as we should but those can also be the best times! Maybe u are right maybe she did have it coming.

If you feel bad, then it was the wrong thing. It probally didn't phase the woman one way or the other since she does what she does. But don't look here for approval. You have to feel that on your own.

I'm not saying you did not have a cause but what right have you to pass judgement on anyone's actions.
Obviously you have no faults of your own and you can in clear conscience cast any stone you want.

Unless what she's done personally affected you, I think you were out of line. Keeping silent doesn't mean you're condoning anything. It just means you pick your battles and stay out of things that don't concern you. I wouldn't expect you to be her friend, but you didn't need to be judge and jury either. She may have gone after other women's men but THEY are the ones who should be catching hell from their wives/girlfriends. No one twisted their arms.

If what you say is true, then I feel you are justified, providing of course that she stole one of yours or at least the man of someone close to you.
