I think it's easier to Hate. This is because it's easier for people do things that will cause other people to hate them than do things that will make others love them.

Unfortunately it is easier to hate. Love is a risk, it can cause a lot of pain. With hate you seemingly sacrifice nothing, although I believe hating costs a lot in the end. Hate and happiness are not compatible, but love and happiness can be....
